no, isn't. markdown standardized, text-focused, cross-language format , of markdown parsers offers back upwards standard syntax.

however, platforms need advanced features, such wiki , github, adds custom features. mutual features, tags generate page toc based on document structure.

afaik, not bluecloth nor rdiscount offers built-in back upwards extensions. have code them before passing markdown text processor.
